All above resolutions are fine without dots.

So when I load up windows I keep getting a blue screen with a generic error reason. When I load up in safe mode its been working, but anytime I try a standard boot it ****s up. Tried isolating the ram by taking one out and then the other. Still kept happening. Removed current ssd with windows, put in back up installed fresh windows 7. Still happened. Removed Video card and used cpu graphics to boot and still happened. So at this point in my opinion its either the CPU or Motherboard. What do you think boys? Time to RMA?

Hello! I have some crazy problem.... When my pc is in idle the the computer freezes and the picture turns either black, yellow, grey or red (the sound for example while watching movies stops but all the fans etc are on like they should) There is no error code on the motherboard (Asus maximus hero Vii) and no red lamp lit on the mobo or anything when it happens, and there is no error code when I restart it by the restart button or error message on start up. I just restart the pc with the button and It works like normal until it happens again (like 2-4) times a day under a couple of hours of use. I recently changer my ram from 2 set of different corsair (2x4xms3 and 2x4 vengence with same specks 1600mhz xmp cl 9, and they worked like a charm for a long time) to 2x8 hyperx savage 2400mhz cl 11, i ran these at xmp profile 2 in 2133 because my pc refused to boot with xmp profile 1 2400mhz. Hi everybody, I just want to get your opinions with my 3DMARK result. I own a G752VT with 970M video card. I've ran 3DMARK Basic Free with default settings (http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/..._download.html) My score is 6702, while one of my colleague got 9000 with desktop computer, old I7 CPU and 970 video card. Is my score normally low as it's a laptop, or is it correct for a laptop ? Can anyone else run this test with same laptop for comparing the performance ? Thanks in advance.

  • Issue#437037: Displays - Red, Blue & Green flickering dots all over the screen.

I just got a Philips 246V5LHAB/69 monitor yesterday which I connected my gaming laptop and Xbox to. However, although it works fine for the Xbox, often when connected to the laptop the screen will have red, blue or green dots all over the screen. The only way for me to fix this is to unplug and plug in the HDMI cable multiple times and hope that it goes away. Does anyone know a better solution or what might be causing the problem? Thanks in advance.

  • Issue#576123: Asus - G752VY Screen Bleed/Panel Mounting issue

Hello, I have this ugly yellowish spots when display is black. I had panel and frame replaced becasue it was badly mounted( I just opened a box with new laptop and send it back to Asus almost same day) There was a space between panel and frame in bottom part of screen resulting in even bigger yellow spot. Right now after repair as you can see in picture I have yellow spots in bottom part very visible and slighly less visible in upper right corner. When I lightly touch the frame spots either disappear or are getting brighter, depends on where I put some light pressure so I assume this is mounting problem. Shall I send it back again? Or all G752 have this? 2016-05-05 23-11-50 +0200 (2).jpg Imágenes Adjuntas 2016-05-05 23-11-50 +0200 (2).jpg (292.2 KB)

  • Issue#611889: Asus - This sleep/screen issue is really getting old

Basically my screen won't turn on after the laptop lid closes. And this has been an issue since I bought the thing. Asus support has no idea how to fix the issue at all. Whether it is a bios issue or driver issue. I have found nothing other than the system doesn't support S0 power state which is anything but full power. Please read my thread here.... I have tried running the powercfg tool via the command prompt. When trying to run a sleepstudy via powercfg it outputs - S0 Low Power Idle is not supported on this machine. Say what? Is that even normal? Cannot run tool. Checking a battery report I generated from powercfg it tells me that connected standby is not supported on this system. I am running Windows 10 home. This did work for a brief time with an older bios. The older ones have been pulled from Asus website. Hyper V is not an issue since it doesn't run on Win 10 home. I didn't try older nvidia drivers just for the fact I don't want to run older drivers for my games. Is there a

  • Issue#788879: Asus - Screen has red lines.

Hey everyone. Going to do my best to get everything right. I can't see a whole lot on my screen right now. I run a NIVIDIA 3GB GTX 670M GDDR5card. My whole computer crashed with windows 10. Had to do a factory reset back to windows 7 ultimate. It took a few tries but it went finally. The screen then completely cut out and I had to use an HDMI cable to a TV to see the screen. When it finally came on there are red lines all over the place and it is pretty tricky to see what you are doing. Last night the screen on the laptop randomly started working, still has all of the red lines. So far it seems to be the only issue. Any help or suggestions foir this? Having a hard time uploading pics right now, can't see what I am doing lol. I will try again after work.

  • Issue#1006835: Asus - G751 JY - Black Screen Issue

Hi all, unfortunately I've been struck with the black screen issue on my G751 JY. I've been using the notbook since 12/2014. The notebook's display won't display anything anymore. Most of the time not even the backlighting is working. However when connecting the notebook to an external display, the system is booting and working flawlessly. I've tried a whole lot of stuff to sort out the problem, but nothing seems to fix it. - removed the HDD, the 2nd HDD, the RAM modules (alltogether or in parts) - drowned the battery to zero - let the PC sit overnight - tried all the power buttons "tricks" - tried the sleep mode on / off hint and most the stuff I found on that matter. What really strikes me is that I had the same problem about a month ago. After a good nights sleep the display worked again. Without doing a thing. This time it seems it's not coming back again. Is there anything else I might try before RMAing it back to Asus? kind regards

  • Issue#1009330: Asus - Gtx 1070 performance issue (?)

Hello everyone! I have been having some issues with my new card, and as a last resort before going back to the store and try to return it,i thought to write my problem here in case anyone could help me :) A few days ago,i bought an Asus gtx 1070 rog strix OC. I have not been getting the fps that other people do and i am experiencing stutters and fps drops all over the place. Here's 2 photos of benchmarks scores at 1080p Capture.jpg Capture2.jpg I used DDU to clear all my previous GPU drivers and clean installed the new ones. I tried all three driver versions for the gtx 1070,plus the hotfix drivers that were supposed to correct the DPC issue. I have also tried with win 10(clean install),but it made no difference. I messed with every setting i could think of,or read on forums. For example,in bf4 i barely reach 95-100 fps on ultra at 1080p and its the same in overwatch. I watched a few videos with these games with the same settings, and they were reaching 140-170 fps in bf4 and 150-160

Hi, after consulting with ASUS support they told me to send my G752VY for repair. One thing I am having a difficulty with is that they won't detect the malfunction, because it happens occasionally.. My problem: after some time screen goes black, and never turns on back agin. So to be clear, laptop is on, i see the red glowing power button, i think keyboard light works as well. But whatever I try to wake it - does not work. Only way to bring it back to life is to shut it down and turn it back on. I read this forum ofcourse and tried following: 1. Update bios to 213 2. Disable hibernate and fast startup 3. Tried various power options 4. Updated all of the drivers, especially IMEI (take a look at the attached screenshot), and nvidia latest drivers- 5. Uninstalled asus quick charge + and rog center 6. Did a rollback of W10 Anniversary update I have to also mention that I use since i bought the laptop donotspy10 application not to let windows know everything, and windows update is mos

I'm having an issue with my ASUS ROG laptop where it will turn on by itself without being touched. When it does it says the last wake state was due to the Power Button. I found a thread here that says an update to the BIOS fixed it however the latest for the GL551JM is 204 and that was a GL551JW which has a newer BIOS update. Any help would be appreciated, it's annoying to have a dead laptop because it turned itself on over and over again in my backpack.
